Sewage plant inlet

Pump it up

In the majority of sewage treatment plants, the inflowing water is transported via screw conveyors or pumps. The main inlet chamber level is used to control the rate of pumping. Some sewage treatment plants operate only on a minimum/maximum point level detection, but continuous level measurement using ultrasonic sensors has a proven and established track record.

Level measurement using VEGASON 62

For level measurement of the pump well, the VEGASON 62 non-contact device is ideal. The ultrasonic sensors of the VEGASON 60 series are especially suitable for this application due to their efficient transducers. Wiring and installation are minimised because of their two-wire technology. Parameter adjustment is easy and the sensor is maintenance-free for continuous operating conditions. The ultrasonic sensors VEGASON 61 and 62 are available for applications in Ex areas.

Point level detection using VEGASWING 63

In sewage treatment plants, where pumps are controlled by minimum/maximum point level detection, the VEGASWING 63 is the optimum device, featuring extreme robustness and a wear and maintenance-free profile.
