Level measurement with VEGAFLEX 66

The continuous level sensor VEGAFLEX 66 for use in liquid asphalt has a temperature range up to 250 °C (482 °F). Neither build-up nor foaming of the liquid asphalt can influence the measuring result. Internal vessel installations, such as heating elements, do not bother the measurement either.

Space-savingly installed from below, VEGABAR 65 is practically immune to the rough conditions in the bitumen tank. Foam does not influence the hydrostatic measuring principle either. Thanks to its patented design, the METEC-measuring cell has excellent accuracy and temperature characteristics. All parts in contact with the medium are made of high-grade steel 1.4435 and Hastelloy C 276.

Overfill protection with VEGACAP 64

VEGACAP 64 as a separate overfill protection is the ideal complement to continuous level measurement. Even build-up several centimeters thick on the electrode does not lead to switching point displacement or faulty switching.

Level measurement in ready asphalt with VEGAPULS 68

Ready asphalt is typically very viscous, hot and sticky – chal- lenging properties VEGAPULS 68 has the right answer to. Even condensate that forms on the antenna cannot blur its view to the product surface. Irregularities in the product surface, caused by different loading positions, does not represent a problem for the sensor either. For temperatures above 200 °C (392 °F), VEGAPULS 68 has a rinsing air connection that can be used to cool the antennay system.

Overfll protection with VEGACAP 65

VEGACAP 65 as a separate overfill protection is the ideal complement to continuous level measurement.
By virtue of the robust construction of its cable electrode, the capacitive level switch is totally wear- and maintenance-free. Condensate, build-up and product flow have no effect on the instrument. Its high measurement reliability is also guaranteed by the new safety standards according to IEC 61508. The capacitive level switch is suitable for use in measurement chains up to SIL 2.
