Science Days 2009

Science Days 2009

Moreover, the Science Days gave everyone in attendance the opportunity to discover science and technology from a completely different viewpoint.

The Science Days 2009 were well visited: more than 20,000 students came to Europa Park in Rust for the event. During the Science Days more than 80 companies and institutions presented a panoply of topics dealing with natural science and technology. Thus arose a scientific world of experience for children and teenagers as well as numerous adult visitors.

VEGA also participated in the event with a stand and lots of hands-on science. From Thursday to Saturday, the company trainees presented numerous practical tests and experiments on the topic “The Forces of Nature.” For example, visitors had the opportunity to make a volcano erupt or unleash an earthquake. The earthquake was measured and recorded with the help of a seismograph. Not only the earthquake demonstration, but also the “tornado in a bottle” attracted large crowds. Both young and old were astounded by the awesome display. While soldering together a so-called “brain game”, the aspiring young technicians put their hands to work and tested their skills as electronics technicians.

The “Science Days” gave VEGA's trainees an excellent opportunity to help the students gain a better understanding of science and technology.
